Bruce Springsteen's extensive music library is set to grow on June 27.

On Thursday, Springsteen officially announced that he will be releasing Tracks II: The Lost Albums, SEVEN ALBUMS that have never before been released, for one reason or another. The records were created from the years 1983-2018 and the album is expected to feature over 70 songs.

The exact numbers are said to be 82 songs, 74 of which have never been heard before publicly. This is an insane thing for the 75-year-old to seemingly drop out of nowhere. He said these are songs he's only played for himself and to close friends, and during the pandemic in 2020, he worked on finishing up these seven albums.

I had the opportunity to see Springsteen in concert back in August at Citizens Bank Park, and not only was the performance incredible, but he's showing zero signs of slowing down. That was evident in the quality of the show, as well as the things he said, and now, the release of dozens of new tracks.

Tracks II: The Lost Albums is the successor to the 1998 release, Tracks, which featured 66 songs, including mostly never-before-released songs, as well as demos, alternate versions, and B-sides. It's a great album and it's awesome we're getting a part two.

Some people hate Springsteen, some people hate him. Regardless of your opinion of him, I don't know how you listen to his music and think it's anything short of amazing. I think the best part of him releasing this album is it alludes to the fact he will continue to be touring. Springsteen's concert are an experience everything music fan should take part in at least once, and hopefully more than that. He'll be touring in Europe this Summer, but his biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere, starring Jeremy Allen White, is also set to release sometime this year. A European tour, movie release, and seven albums - 2025 might be the year of Bruce. And the guy is 75.

Welcome to the Pop Culture section of Barreldelphia Media. Sure, I love sports - Philadelphia sports, especially - but I have more interests than just that. I like rock n' roll music, films (particularly in the crime genre), and other pop culture related items. You'll see that on this portion of the blog - things that probably won't make it onto the YouTube channel. That being said, be sure to check out the channel: https://www.youtube.com/@barreldelphia
